During the last day of BlizzConline, Blizzard Entertainment hosted a Q&A panel focusing on the future (and returning past) of World of Warcraft.
The panel included executive producer John Hight, game director Ion Hozzikostas, art director Ely Cannon, and lead narrative designer Steve Danuser on the modern WoW side, and lead producer Holly Longdale and lead engineer Brian Birmingham on the Classic side.
The developers answered questions from the fanbase mostly focusing on the newly-revealed Chains of Domination content and Burning Crusade Classic
If you’re unfamiliar with Burning Crusade, it was the first expansion for World of Warcraft, and it was launched on January 16, 2007 Many consider it the best expansion in the history of the veteran MMORPG that has been around since 2004.
Whether you agree or not, players will be given a choice for each character and they’ll be able to either move on to Burning Crusade or to remain in the original Classic era forever.
Chains of Domination is the next content addition coming to modern WoW, and it’s set to continue the story arc of the latest expansion, Shadowlands.
World of Warcraft is currently available for PC only, whether it’s modern (relatively) or the Classic version.
