Even though Overwatch doesn’t release until the end of next month, Heroes of the Storm is already getting its first character from the hero shooter. Tracer, the quick, time-jumping brit, that so many have already fallen in love with will make her debut in Heroes of the Storm later this month.

“Equipped with the chronal accelerator designed by her gorilla scientist pal Winston and a pair of deadly pulse pistols to match, this highly mobile ranged Assassin zips around the Battlegrounds of the Nexus, catching enemy heroes off guard and then vanishing before they have a chance to react,” Blizzards announcement reads.

“Tracer brings a diverse set of unique abilities and talents into the Nexus. She can move while attacking—a first for a Heroes character—and has a single Heroic ability that she can customize by upgrading it in three different ways.” Check out what she looks like in action below.

Starting April 19, Tracer will be free and automatically available for anyone that pre-purchases Overwatch: Origins Edition on PC. She will then go live for everyone else, starting April 26, a week before the Overwatch Open Beta on May 3, and almost a month before Overwatch officially releases on May 24.

If you pre-purchased Overwatch on consoles, sadly you will have to wait until May 24 to unlock Heroes of the Storm Tracer for free.

Tracer and Overwatch recently made headlines when outcry over a sexualized pose prompted said pose to be removed from game. In other Overwatch news, one of the game’s other characters, Widowmaker, recently received an animated short showcasing her backstory.

Are you excited to see Tracer enter the Nexus? Or are you still getting over the fact that many will likely play Tracer in Heroes of the Storm before ever playing as her in her actual game? Let us know in the comments.
