During the 25th anniversary livestream dedicated to the Tales series, Bandai Namco briefly addressed Tales of Arise.
Producer Yosuke Tomizawa mentioned that unfortunately he couldn’t provide new info on the new game for consoles today, and he apologized for having been quiet for a long time, but he’s preparing to provide a variety of new info in 2021.
Development is making good progress, so he asked fans all over the world to wait for new information and thanked them for their support.
If you want to take a look at the game, you can enjoy the latest trailer, another trailer in English, some screenshots and artwork, the first batch of images, and the original announcement trailer.
Tales of Arise was originally slated for 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but it was delayed due to the effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
If you’re unfamiliar with the game (considering that a long time has passed since the latest reveal), you can read an official description below.
“On the planet Dahna, reverence has always been given to Rena, the planet in the sky, as a land of the righteous and divine. Stories handed down for generations became truth and masked reality for the people of Dahna. For 300 years, Rena has ruled over Dahna, pillaging the planet of its resources and stripping people of their dignity and freedom.
Our tale begins with two people, born on different worlds, each looking to change their fate and create a new future. Featuring a new cast of characters, updated combat, and classic Tales of gameplay mechanics, experience the next chapter in the world-famous Tale of series, Tales of Arise.”
