Square Enix – Like They Always Do – Is Teasing a Mobile Project With a Countdown Clock

NieR: Automata related?

Square Enix is no stranger to putting up countdown clocks for their newest titles and projects that can sometimes be a bit disappointing. Final Fantasy XV has been part of this countdown clock debauchery as well as other franchises like The World Ends With You and Star Ocean. Now, the Japanese company is teasing some sort of new smartphone project via a countdown clock that ends in five days on Sep. 20.

According to Gematsu, the teaser site features a slideshow that showcases weapons and quotes from various Square Enix titles, including NieR: Automata, Legend of Mana, Kai-Ri-Sei Million Arthur and Romancing SaGa Minstrel Song.

There is no other information on the mobile project, so we must wait until the clock runs out to see what Square Enix has up their tricky little sleeves.
