Note that this date is for Japan, so expect it to release sometime on Dec. 4 in North America. The update will contain new gear and new weapons, as well as new abilities for you to try out.

The new weapons include:

  • Explosher Custom; sub weapon: Point Sensor; special: Baller
  • Ballpoint Splatling Nouveau; sub weapon: Squid Beakon; special: Ink Storm
  • Bloblobber Deco; sub weapon: Sprinkler; special: Suction Bomb Launcher
  • Nautilus79; sub weapon: Suction Bomb; special: Inkjet

Additionally, the update will combine the gear abilities, ‘Bomb Defense Up’ and ‘Cold-Blooded’. As of the 4.3.0 update, the ability will be renewed as ‘Bomb Defense Up DX’ and will contain the two effects of both abilities.

There will also be a new ability added called, ‘Main Power Up’, which will improve the performance of your main weapon. The improvements vary from weapon to weapon, but expect enhancements to your accuracy, damage, and fire-rate.

Nintendo has been doing a killer job of keeping up with Splatoon 2, making it still relevant almost a year and a half after its release. Let us know if you’re looking forward to the next update coming this December.

Also, don’t forget to grab the 3-Pack Octoling Amiibo set scheduled to release this December. They look pretty inciting, to say the least.
