Okay, look, people, stop saying that Pokemon GO is dead, because we have evidence stating otherwise. Not only is the game not dead, but it seems to be stronger than ever, especially during September where Niantic’s mobile game saw great success when it comes to revenue and installs.
According to Sensor Tower, a site that focuses on sales data for mobile applications, Pokemon GO grossed almost $85 million in September alone and ranked No. 4 among all of the applications when it comes to revenue. For a game that came out over two years ago, that is quite impressive.
The site also speaks on the massive amounts of installs that the mobile game saw in September:
“The AR gaming phenomenon also saw an additional 8.86 million downloads worldwide over the course of September. This was Pokémon GO’s strongest month for installs in 2018 so far, and it represents a 100 percent increase year-over-year compared to September 2017.”
Since launch back in June of 2016, Pokemon GO has managed to obtain over 520 million downloads, with that number surely increasing as the game continues to update and receive new features, events, and Pokemon.
In other Pokemon GO news, Niantic has pretty much announced that Pokemon from the Sinnoh region (gen 4) will be coming to the mobile game soon.
