Resident Evil 7, Battletoads, and More Coming to Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft announced another list of games being added to the Xbox Game Pass catalog for both PC and Xbox One in late-August to early-September, including Resident Evil 7 Biohazard.

Two games were added to the service today: Microsoft Flight Simulator and Spiritfarer. Microsoft Flight Simulator is available for PC while Spiritfarer, a “cozy management game about dying,” is available for PC and console.

Four games will be available to play later this week on Thursday, Aug. 20, such as Microsoft’s own reboot of Battletoads for PC and console. Action-adventure games Crossing Souls and Darksiders: Genesis will be available on PC, while Don’t Starve: Giant Edition will be on both PC and console.

New Super Lucky’s Tale will be coming on Aug. 21 with Hypnospace Outlaw and Tell Me Why: Chapter 1 coming on Aug. 27 for PC and console.

Shoot’em up rhythm game Double Kick Heroes and inXile Entertainment’s turn-based RPG Wasteland 3 will come to both PC and console on Aug. 28.

Crusader Kings III will be joining the service and launching for PC on Sept. 1, while Capcom’s Resident Evil 7 Biohazard will be added to PC and console on Sept. 3.

Microsoft also announced seven games leaving Xbox Game Pass and includes Red Dead Redemption 2, which made its debut last May. The full list of games leaving and their dates:

  • Creature in the Well (PC and console) – Aug. 31
  • Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams – Director’s Cut (Console) – Aug. 31
  • Metal Gears Solid 2 & 3 HD (Console) – Aug. 31
  • Metro: Last Light Redux (Console) – Aug. 31
  • The Jackbox Party Pack 3 (Console) – Aug. 31
  • NBA 2K20 (Console) – Sept. 1
  • Red Dead Redemption 2 (Console) – Sept. 7
