Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake Will Not Feature in the Next Ubisoft Forward

The Prince of Persia Sands of Time Remake has been the subject of much discussion since its reveal last year, which did not enjoy the best of receptions as fans made their opinions known about its unimpressive graphical fidelity. The project was subsequently delayed, and then delayed a second time earlier this year.

Still, many would have been expecting it to feature in at least some capacity during next week’s Ubisoft Forward digital showcase, but today the publisher has explained that certainly won’t be the case.

In a Tweet, Ubisoft explains that “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will not be in Ubisoft Forward,” before clarifying that the team is “making great progress for our game to release next year.” Apparently, we can look forward to an update as soon as the team is ready.

If you aren’t up to speed with the original announcement of the remake then you can watch the trailer below. According to Ubisoft we can look forward to sharper visuals in the finished project.

The next Ubisoft Forward will take place next week, June 12. You can expect major titles such as Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six: Extraction to feature. Maybe we’ll even get an update on Skull & Bones!
