As far as Sony has revealed, the outage is not part of scheduled maintenance, so it’s difficult to predict how long the PlayStation Network will be down. Friday evenings are usually the start of many players’ gaming weekends, so this is sure to cause an inconvenience for anyone planning on purchasing, downloading or diving into January’s biggest release, Monster Hunter World.
