The 2018 Game Awards are fast approaching, and fans of games made by Obsidian Entertainment now have a big reason to look forward to it.
In a post to Twitter made by the Game Awards’ host Geoff Keighley on Nov. 28, it was revealed that Obsidian Entertainment will reveal a new RPG project for the first time to viewers and attendees. The title is being developed by Obsidian and published via 2K Games’ Private Division, Â though little else was revealed through the tweet.

Luckily, Obsidian has provided hints via a post to their own official twitter account. Posted Nov. 28, the tweet lets fans in on the fact that strange ads are now popping up on the developer’s official website.
These ads provide a number of different, cryptic hints at what will be shown. Some say to stay tuned for a special message from Aunti Cleo’s and Spacer’s Choice, while the other two advertise a ray gun used by “Spacers” and futuristic food stuffs.
All the faux ads share a classic sci-fi aesthetic, similar to something out of Bioshock. However, they still provide little information on what the bigger points of the story or gameplay will be about.
The title would mark yet another RPG produced by Obsidian since its founding in 2003. In their tenure, the developer has produced several notable works including the Pillars of Eternity series, South Park: The Stick of Truth and Fallout: New Vegas, just to name a few.
Fans can look forward to seeing what Obsidian has in store when the Game Awards 2018 kick off on Dec. 6 at 9 p.m. EST.
