Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is already shaping up to be one of the biggest releases of 2018, being one of Nintendo’s biggest titles for this year. While we still have to wait another week before we can duke it out on the battlefield, some leakers have already been spoiling the game by uploading clips and other surprises on the internet.
Things such as animated cutscenes, remixed tracks, and even hidden content have been popping up online. It didn’t take too long before pirated copies of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate began circulating, either.
According to Ars Technica, Some streamers and other YouTubers have taken the opportunity to showcase these leaks on streaming sites, which has led to Nintendo’s swift copyright claims. Despite these takedowns, however, fans can still easily find archived versions of these Super Smash Bros. Ultimate leaks online.
While Nintendo has been struggling to keep these leaks in check, other Smash fans have also taken the matters in their own hands. The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Reddit now has a relatively “spoiler free” megathread where Redditors can discuss the game without having to worry about any potential leaks, regardless whether they’re real or not.
That said, those who want to also want to avoid any spoilers should probably be a bit more careful when surfing the net. If you want some spoiler-free coverage on the game, check out five things we learned from playing World of Light and other tidbits on how Spirits work in the game.
