Level-5 has announced that Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom has topped 900,000 units worldwide, including physical shipments and digital sales. Just to give a little perspective two JRPGs from last year, Persona 5 and NieR: Automata, have now sold over 2.2 and 2.5 million copies respectively. Ni No Kuni II tells the story of the young king of Ding Dong Dell, Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum, who’s ousted from his throne by a coup. Together with the help of Roland, a man from another world, Evan has to build a new kingdom and retake Ding Dong Dell. Level-5 will be releasing the soundtrack to the game on June 6 in Japan, featuring 31 songs by the renowned Studio Ghibli composer Joe Hisashi. There’s no word yet on if we could see the soundtrack release in the west. There are also two DLC expansions planned for the game, although no details have been announced on what they’ll be about, or when we might see them.

Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is now available on PS4 and PC. We here at Twinfinite found the game to be a stellar representation of what a JRPG should be, giving it that coveted 5/5 score.
