For the uninitiated, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics continues the story of the Netflix adaptation of Jim Henson’s 1982 film The Dark Crystal in an expanded world of Thra. Players will have the chance to learn more about the Gelfling clans across five different territories.

15 playable character “jobs” are available as players take on new battles against the nefarious Skeksis, which play out in turn-based tactical combat. There are RPG elements, too, with unit customization in the form of different gear, upgradable abilities, and the aforementioned job system adding layers to the experience.

The game takes place over the course of 80 unique turn-based campaign battles.

You can check out today’s new trailer below.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics is slated for a 2020 launch on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
