Yoshimune-san mentioned that while a Total Eclipse movie would be good (in response to a fan asking for that), the continuation of the anime was supposed to be a novel, and he wants to release it at some point. Worse comes to worst, he’d be ok with releasing it in dojinshi (self-publishing) form as well.

He also added that he already has enough plot in mind for two novels.

The idea of a novel certainly isn’t surprising considering that Muv-Luv Alternative Total Eclipse was a series of six visual novels to begin with, debuted in 2007.

It then branched on a visual novel released in 2013 (for Ps3 and Xbox 360 and then PC), two manga series, and the anime series in 2012.

All the different media forms include some differences with each other, and which one is the best is a common topic of conversation among the fanbase.

Personally, I’d ve very keen on seeing the visual novel localized in English, as it provides a very interesting and broad view on the Muv-Luv Alternative world.

In other Muv-Luv news, âge recently released an updated version of a relevant image board for the Alternative sequel Muv-Luv Integrate.

On top of that, earlier this week we interviewed its creator Kouki Yoshimune and producer Kazutoshi “Tororo” Matsumura about Integrate itself, the upcoming Alternative anime, and much more. You’ll be able to read it soon.
