Today Capcom released an “ending video” for Monster Hunter Frontier Z, which was shut down by the publisher earlier this month.

The video may prove rather emotional for those who have played the game, starting with a long overview of the NPCs that we met in the world of Monster Hunter Frontier Z.

After that, a long list of names pays homage to all of the players who logged into the game during the week before its closure.

You can watch the video below and see if it makes you shed a tear. It certainly did for me.

The announcement of the game’s closure was made back in June, sp players had a few months to enjoy Monster Hunter Frontier Z before the gates to its world closed forever on December 18.

The game was playable on a wide variety of platforms including PC, PS4, PS3, and PS Vita. Before its shutdown, it was of the oldest online games in activity, having operated since July 5, 2007.

This means that players have been hunting monsters in Frontier Z for a whopping twelve years since its launch. Unfortunately, this is not possible anymore, but all good things have to end.
