Happy N7 Day! BioWare has officially announced today that Mass Effect Legendary Edition will be coming in Spring 2021.
On the BioWare blog, the team explained they’ve been working hard for months to improve the three games in the Mass Effect series by updating textures, shaders, models, effects, and more. Their goal is to modernize the games, not to remake them completely.
They boast that the Legendary Edition will have “super-sharp resolution, faster framerates, and beautiful visual enhancements” to make the experience of playing the games even better than before.
The blog post goes on to explain that all of the single-player content and DLC from all three Mass Effect games will be included in the Legendary Edition. Also, promo weapons, armors, and packs will be included.
All of this will be specially optimized for 4k Ultra HD.
If you don’t plan to upgrade to next-gen consoles right away, no need to worry; Mass Effect Legendary Edition will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC in Spring 2021.
Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 can expect forward compatibility and enhancements to the game, with more information coming early next year.
Finally, BioWare teased that one of their veteran teams has been working hard on the next chapter of the Mass Effect universe. Although they can’t share any more details yet, they are on the early stages and are looking forward to sharing more about this project at a later time.
