Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 DLC Is Finally Available on Origin

It only took a few years, but it's there now.

Mass Effect fans on PC have long been forced to go about acquiring the DLC for both Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 in a very roundabout manner, but as of today, that’s all over. The Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 DLC packages are now available to purchase via EA’s Origin service, bringing an end to the endlessly frustrating previous method of having to buy the games.

The only way you could get the DLC packs before was going through the BioWare store and using BioWare Points, a method that’s old and outdated, a hilarious show of how frustrating older concepts for games like this an be. Fans have been practically begging EA to put the packs on Origin, and while EA has finally ceded to doing so, neither are available on their own. You have to buy them as a bundle of DLC.

You can grab the Mass Effect 2 DLC bundle for $25, and the Mass Effect 3 bundle for $30. These bundles do not include the main game, but they’re pretty old by now, so everyone’s probably already got them who care about the DLC packs in the first place by now. The Origin store usually has the original games on sale pretty often, but now you can play the rest of the story without having to jump through too many hoops. That’s certainly something for Mass Effect faithful to be excited about.
