The new content in the update includes the Kantus character detailed last week available in a variety of ways, and the new Versus event celebrating the Lunar New Year.

The event is a free-for-all version of the Golden Gun mode where every player has a Boltok pistol that can kill in one shot and gives the bullet back on successful hit, but can only be hip-fired.

Players can earn the Year of the Rat blood spray and the Golden Gun Boltok weapon skin by reaching 108 kills in the mode. Logging in on Jan. 25 also gives a Lunar New Year banner and mark as well.

The Icebound map in Gears 5 also receives a list of changes by removing some cover from the towers and changing most of the weapons found on the map.

Check out the full patch notes here which also includes Gnasher shotgun improvements, the new ‘Simple’ Omen option, estimated wait times for multiplayer playlists, and more.

The Gears 5 Title Update 4 arrives tomorrow, Jan. 21 at 1 p.m. ET and the new content will appear by 6 p.m. ET after two live updates during that time.
