Today’s issue of the Japanese magazine Weekly Famitsu included an interview with Tetsuya Nomura. While it was mostly focused on the Final Fantasy VIII Remastered, we also get an interesting tease about the plans to show the Final Fantasy VII Remake at Tokyo Game Show.
Nomura-san explains that the team has been editing the latest trailer of the game and preparing the demo (Editor’s note: Nomura-san means a demo playable at the venue, so don’t get your hopes up) . Additional preparation include working on the design of the t-shirts for the staff.
While he does not plan to personally go to Tokyo Game Show, Producer Yoshinori Kitase will be at the venue to deliver the latest information on the game.
We also learn that Square Enix is planning to show the “Shinra side” at Tokyo Game Show. There will be an improved version of the Hardy Daytona bike and a buster sword on display. Nomura-san has also heard that Sony Interactive Entertainment will have a different photo spot at its booth.

The first game of the Final Fantasy VII Remake will launch on PS4 on March 3, 2020. No other platforms have been announced so far.
