Druddigon Coming to Pokemon GO During Dragonspiral Descent Event

Earlier today on the Pokemon GO official site, a new event and the debut of Druddigon were announced for the mobile game. The Dragonspiral Descent event will begin on Tuesday, Dec. 7 at 10 AM local time and run until Dec. 12 at 8 PM local time. On top of that, Druddigon will be debuting in raids and as a reward for completing Field Research or a Collection Challenge at the start of this event.

Dragonspiral Descent will feature Pokemon from the Dragonspiral Tower located in the Unova region. The Pokemon in the table below will be available in the wild during the event. An asterisk (*) indicates the Pokemon is a rare spawn and the three stars next to the image of the Pokemon means that you may find a shiny version of that ‘mon.

As mentioned earlier, there will also be a collection challenge associated with this event that will reward you with a Druddigon encounter upon completion. You’ll also earn 1000 XP and 3000 Stardust for completing the Collection Challenge. No details on the Collection Challenge were revealed, but you can check the Today tab in Pokemon GO once Dragonspiral Descent begins.

Some different raids will also be going on during the time of the event. Both Reshiram and Zekrom will be returning to Five-Star Raids and Druddigon will be debuting in Three-Star Raids. All three Dragon-types will have shiny versions.

Electabuzz, Magmar, Lapras, and Dragonite round out the rest of the Three-Star Raids, all with shiny versions available. Mega Steelix will be the sole Mega Raid at this time. It’ll also be available as a shiny if you have good luck.

Tynamo, Litwick, Cubchoo, Golett, and Deino will be the Pokemon occupying Level-One Raids during Dragonspiral Descent. If you don’t have the shiny versions of Cubchoo or Deino yet, then use this time to hunt them down.

All of the creatures you’ll be able to obtain from event-themed Field Research during Dragonspiral Descent will have shiny versions available. Dratini, Sneasel, Deino, and Druddigon are the four encounters that you might have. But keep in mind that a Druddigon or Deino encounter from Field Research will be rare.

Lastly, if you’re still in the middle of lockdowns or if the cold has reached your neck of the woods, then there will be a helpful Event Box available in the in-game Shop during the event. The box will contain three Remote Raid Passes at a cost of 175 PokeCoins.
