Activision announced that its recently released portable spin-off Call of Duty: Mobile has reached over 35 million downloads since its launch earlier this week.
The company said in a press release that the title reached the milestone faster than any other first-person or third-person action game from both Apple’s App Store and Google Play.
It was developed by Tencent Games’ TiMi studio, which is currently developing a Pokemon game with The Pokemon Company.
Activision also said that Call of Duty: Mobile became the #1 app in the App Store based on downloads in over 100 countries since its launch on Tuesday, Oct. 1, except for mainland China, Vietnam, and Belgium where it is not available.
The free-to-play Call of Duty: Mobile features fully-fledged multiplayer with weapons, scorestreaks, operator skills, and a variety of game modes. It features maps from previous Call of Duty titles such as the Black Ops and Modern Warfare series.
The game also contains a battle royale mode with up to 100 players fighting on foot over land and in playable vehicles in the water and air alongside a battle pass with numerous rewards in both free and premium tiers.
Call of Duty: Mobile is out now and free-to-play for both iOS and Android devices.
