Bethesda Pledges Support for Steam with RAGE 2, DOOM Eternal, Fallout 76 and More

Many developers appear to be jumping off the Steam ship by agreeing to exclusivity deals to the Epic Games Store, but not Bethesda.

Today the developer and publisher announced on Twitter that it will stick to Valve’s store with its upcoming titles RAGE 2, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot, and DOOM Eternal. On top of that, Fallout 76 will also be released on Steam later this year. Of course, the games will also be available on Bethesda’s own platform.

This feels like a breath of fresh air for Valve and Steam, which appeared to be a bit overwhelmed by the onslaught of high-profile exclusives secured by Epic Games.

It comes after Valve announced that it’s going to release a redesign of its library and adding events to its lineup of features.

Looks like the entrance of Epic Games in the digital download market has caused a sort of new gaming war in addition to the struggle among consoles, and it’s likely that it’ll rage on for a while. That being said, this is one point for Steam. We’ll see who will score next.
