How to Play Co-Op Multiplayer in Unravel 2

If you tuned into EA’s E3 2018 conference, you would have noticed a familiar, albeit more confident face step out on stage to tell us it’s time for another adventure with Yarny. The adorable red, woolen creature is leaping, pulling, and tieing its way through a number of heartfelt levels once more. This time, however, it’s not alone, and there’s another little Yarny to keep you company along the way. Yes, that’s right, the additional Yarny is really there for the co-op element of Unravel 2. As such, you’re probably wondering exactly what you need to do to go on this platforming adventure in co-op multiplayer.

Unravel 2’s co-op multiplayer is incredibly simple to get started, regardless of what platform you’re playing on. Those on Xbox One or PS4 simply need to have two players signed in with both controllers on. Then, hit the Start/ Options button and have your co-op multiplayer partner press any button on their controller. You should see their name appear in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, below the second Yarny! For PC players, access your pause menu by pressing ESC, and have them do the same thing on their input method of choice.

Now that that’s done, you’re all set to play co-op multiplayer in Unravel 2. If you ever want to stop playing co-op multiplayer and continue your adventure in Unravel 2 on your lonesome, simply press Start/ Options again and select the Play in Single-Player option from the menu.
