Star Wars Fallen Order is finally here, and with it a slew of new gameplay mechanics to figure out. That’s why we’re here with a guide on how to scan enemies in Jedi Fallen Order and what it does.
How to Scan Enemies in Jedi Fallen Order
As you make your way through Star Wars Fallen Order, you’ll come across a number of enemies you’ll need to dodge, guard against and cross blades with, ultimately defeating them in order to advance further into the game.
This is easier said than done though, as each enemy has different patterns, abilities, and behaviors you’ll need to learn if you don’t want to be turned into a smear on the wall.
Enter the game’s scan mechanic. Upon defeating an enemy, you’ll have the option to walk up to their corpse, press down on the D-Pad and use BD-1 to scan them. Doing this will register information about them in your log, letting you know all about their strengths, weaknesses and patterns.
When You Should Scan Enemies
As such, this makes scanning enemies sooner rather than later paramount to prolonging your survival in Jedi Fallen Order, and should be at the top of your priority list upon killing a new enemy.
Not only will this leave you better prepared for your next encounter with their enemy type, but it will also ensure you aren’t left dealing with a variable that, had you been aware of, would otherwise not have killed you.
And of course, if you’re the type to dig into every bit of lore around the Star Wars series, the scan ability is the fastest way for you to immerse yourself in all of the lore surrounding the game’s enemies.
That should cover everything you’ll need to know about how to scan enemies and what it does in Jedi Fallen Order. For more on the game, check out our guide wiki.
