Luigi’s Mansion 3 is the latest entry in the spooky action series starring Mario’s younger (and taller) brother, Luigi. This time around, the timid hero must save his brother and friends from King Boo as they have been trapped in paintings. Luigi will have to face several ghostly bosses in order to save the Mushroom Kingdom crew. If you’re having trouble with the ghost on the seventh floor, here’s how to beat the gardener ghost boss in Luigi’s Mansion 3.

How to Beat Gardener Ghost Boss in Luigi’s Mansion 3

This fight with the gardener ghost might seem intimidating at the beginning, but fear not! There’s an item hanging about on the floor that’ll help you take care of him and his carnivorous plant.

If you look around, you will see that there is a chainsaw on the floor that you can pick up by sucking it in with the vacuum. You won’t be able to just go in swinging though as the plant will attack you if you get to close.

Do you see those plants popping up off of the ground? You need to trick the gardener so that his plant bites onto those other brown plants. His plant will get stuck and then you can go in and use the chainsaw on his plants “neck,” separating the two from each other.

Then you can go in and strobe light the ghost and suck him up per usual.

This can be tricky to do but just make sure to hide behind the brown plants right before the gardener’s plant extends itself to grab you. Simply repeat the process three times or so and this fight will come to an end before you know it.

Time needed: 3 minutes

To sum up how to beat the gardener boss in Luigi’s Mansion 3.

  1. Grab the chainsaw from the ground by sucking it with ZR.

  2. Wait until the gardener’s plant extends its neck and then hide behind one of the brown plants sticking out of the ground.

  3. The gardener’s plant will get stuck and then you can use the chainsaw to cut its stem off, letting you use the strobe light on the ghost and then proceed to suck him up like usual.
