However, as you embark on your epic adventure, you may find yourself longing for a revitalized appearance or minor adjustments. How Do You Change Character Appearance in BG3? Answered

Players can interact with the Magic Mirror at their camp or the Mask of the Shapeshifter to change their character’s appearance. Previously, you could only perform this feature with the exclusive mask, but now, Patch 3 has introduced a new system for more customization options.

Once you’ve set up your base, you’ll need to look around the Magic Mirror at your camp, which can appear randomly throughout the area.

After you’ve selected the object, you’ll immediately be taken to the character creation, permitting you to change their pronouns, voice, nether regions, skin color, body art, eyes, makeup, and hair. However, you cannot alter their body type or subrace/race. Upon completion, the Tav will now have the updated characteristics in their avatar, bringing in a new look for your journey.

BG3 Mask of the Shapeshifter

The Mask of the Shapeshifter from the Deluxe edition can temporarily alter your character’s appearance. With this item, you can perform the Level 1 Illusion spell, Shapeshift, disguising yourself with a specific race.

You can choose any race, such as a Tiefling, Half-Elf, Drow, or Human while unleashing the spell. Each appearance showcases a particular body type, from feminine to masculine, and you can confirm to change the look by pressing outside of the spell slot.

Once the ability has been initiated, your avatar will change to a pre-made version of your selected character. Nevertheless, players can always stop the spell by selecting ‘Dispel Disguise’ from the slots.
