Fortnite Cube Event: When It Starts, What It Is & More

Here’s everything you need to know about the Fortnite Cube Event, including when it starts and what it is.

The cube saga in Fortnite has been quite an exciting and mysterious one. It was summoned by lightning, caused a floating island above Loot Lake, and eventually spawned weird, zombie-esque cube monsters.

However, all good things must come to an end, and it seems like the cube’s time might finally be up.

The current Fortnite event, Fortnitemares, will be coming to a close on Nov. 4 at 1pm ET and will usher in what the Fortnite Twitter account is calling a “one-time event.”

All you have to do to witness the event is be in a match at 1pm on Nov. 4. If this is something that you really don’t want to miss, it might be a good idea to login and join a match shortly before 1pm.

Epic Games hasn’t announced anything more about the one-time event, and we can’t be fully certain what it is going to be. However, signs have been pointing to the event having something to do with the mysterious cube.

Since the arrival of the Fortnitemares event, several cracks have started to appear on the cube, leading us to believe that the days might be numbered for the poor Platonic solid.

During Fortnitemares, the cube created Halloween-themed monsters, but as the Halloween event will soon be over, the monsters will have to leave, and they’ll probably be taking the cube with them.

The likelihood is that the demise of the cube will have a drastic affect on the Fortnite map in some way, shape, or form. This is what tends to happen in Fortnite as the game is beginning to transition into the next season. For example, rocket launches, meteors, and the cube itself have caused great alterations to the map in the past.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see the cube mess up Look Lake again in some way — it does seem to have a fondness for the place.

There’s always a chance that the cube could just up and dissolve into the atmosphere, leaving without a parting gift. But based on past events, that isn’t likely to be the case. This event will most likely bring with it some indication as to the future of Fortnite and possibly a preview of Season 7.

Although we don’t know much about the upcoming event right now, it won’t be long until we do. The event begins on Nov. 4 at 1pm ET, and all you have to do to be a part of it is jump into a Battle Royale match on any platform at that time.
