With the release of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2, Epic Games has once again looked to make some adjustments to the pool of weapons available to players in matches. What Does Vaulted Mean?

When a weapon or item is ‘vaulted’ in Fortnite, it means that it’s been removed from the Battle Royale game modes for the season and so cannot be found and used when playing.

This doesn’t mean that it’s gone forever, though, as Epic has a tendency to vault weapons, make some adjustments to how they work before bringing them back in a future season.

All Vaulted Weapons & Items in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2

It’s official. There are five weapons/ items that have been vaulted in the latest season, and these are as follows:

  • Flare Gun
  • Heavy Shotgun
  • Machine Pistol
  • Spider-Man Web Shooters
  • Sticky Grenades

Keep in mind that just because they’re vaulted now, doesn’t mean they won’t return in a future season. But as Epic taketh with one hand, it also giveth with the other, unvaulting a swathe of weapons and items for Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2.

All Unvaulted Weapons in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2

From what we’ve seen so far, there are seven unvaulted weapons making their way back into the game for the new season.

  • Drum Shotgun
  • Remote Explosives
  • Revolver
  • Shockwave Grenades
  • Storm Scout Sniper Rifle
  • Thermal Scoped Assault Rifle
  • Thermal Scoped Revolver

It’s worth noting that a lot of these have had balance adjustments made to better fit in with the meta of the game. For example, the Drum Shotgun now fires slower but with increased damage, a tighter spread and improved damage falloff.

Returning Weapons in Chapter 3 Season 2

Returning weapons are those which were in Season 1 that haven’t been vaulted. These are as follows:

  • Auto Shotgun
  • Boom Sniper Rifle Exotic Weapon
  • The Dub Exotic Weapon
  • Hunter Bolt-Action Sniper
  • Marksman Six Shooter Exotic Weapon
  • Ranger Assault Rifle
  • Shadow Tracker Exotic Weapon
  • Sidearm Pistol
  • Stinger SMG
  • Striker Pump Shotgun
