Fast Traveling in Final Fantasy 7 Remake

Fast travel is a feature that’s available in Final Fantasy 7 Remake, but you won’t gain access to it until you’ve progressed a fair bit into the main story. More specifically, you’ll only unlock it once you’ve reached chapter 14, and have regained control of your party in the Sector 5 slums.

Once you do, a series of new side quests will open up, and you can accept a quest from the Sector 5 chocobo stablehand to find three of his missing chocobos. Simply accepting his quest will unlock fast travel in the game, but if you manage to find the missing chocobos, you’ll unlock even more areas available to fast travel to.

From this point on, simply look out for the chocobo wings icon on your map and interact with it by pressing the triangle button. Doing so will bring up a list of locations you can go to, but do note that you’ll need to spend 300 Gil to travel to your selected area.

For the most part, the story progression is pretty linear, but as you get towards the end of the story, the side quests that open up will require you to move back and forth between the different Sectors. That’s where the chocobo service comes in handy, and you’ll probably make use of it a little more frequently then.

Well, that’s everything you’ll need to know about how to fast travel in Final Fantasy 7 Remake. For more tips, tricks, and guides be sure to check out our extensive and ever-expanding Wiki, or just search Twinfinite.
