Where to Sell Items in Fallout 76

Recommended Videos

As you explore the wasteland of West Virginia, you’re going to find a whole lot of armor, weapons, consumables, and other items that, while useful, you may no longer require. Perhaps you got some more powerful gear that renders it useless, or maybe you’re just not into using all of those Chems. May as well get some Caps for them, but you may be wondering where to sell items in Fallout 76.

Without any human NPCs and large settlements already established in Fallout 76, you’ll need to instead seek out Protectron Vendors. These can be found at the different train stations scattered across the world of Appalachia. The closest one to Vault 76 is east at Morgantown Station. We’ve included a screenshot down below of the map, to indicate exactly where you need to head if you’ve not yet discovered this location yourself yet.

Upon discovering any of the train stations in Fallout 76, they’ll be displayed on your map with an old train icon. Also, when inside one of these train stations, you’ll then be able to find an old-looking map with some dots on it. These dots indicate where all train station locations are in Fallout 76.

To sell items in Fallout 76, you’ll need to head here and then go over to the Protectron vendor in the ticket office. Press Square on PS4, or X on Xbox One to initiate the trade. You can now simply select items out of your inventory, and then press X on PS4 or A on Xbox One to confirm you want to sell the item.

Keep in mind that you won’t actually get a whole lot of Caps for items you sell to vendors in Fallout 76. More often than not, you’ll be selling for way under the buying price, but if you’re in dire need of some extra cash, it’s certainly the way to earn it quickly.

Protectron vendors aren’t just found at train stations in Fallout 76. Keep an eye out for the Volunteer signs dotted about the world. These are the little heart logos on a blue background. Sometimes, nearby these, you’ll find a man-made sign indicate that a trading post is nearby. Follow these signs, and more often than not you’ll find another vendor you can sell items to. Vendors can also be found at places like Morgantown Airport, and the hospital in the south section of the map.

The only other way to sell items in Fallout 76 is to simply trade with other players. You can either exchange items for other gear or consumables that you may need instead, or you can set an asking price in Caps for items that other players may be requesting from your inventory. Check out our full guide on how to trade with other players in Fallout 76 for the full breakdown.
