Control has arrived and players are able to, ahem, control Jesse Faden as she explores the mysterious and creepy Federal Bureau of Control building. If you’re here, you’re probably wondering how you can get more source AKA the money used in Control. Here’s what you need to know.

How to Get Source Fast in Control

As we mentioned above, Source is the currency of Control. It’s extremely important to have as much of it as you can get your hands on considering every upgrade will use it and most of the time materials as well.

Source can be accumulated naturally through gameplay but also can be grinded as well if you want to get as much as possible.

Just killing enemies and progressing through the story missions will provide you with a decent amount of Source even if you don’t do anything else.

However, you can get Source in Control a lot faster if you also do the following. First, explore everywhere and pick up every personal and weapon mod that you can find.

These mods are extremely common and you’re only going to need a handful at any given time. Any mod you don’t need, you can dismantle for source by pressing Square on PS4 or X on Xbox One while examining it in your inventory.

Also, take on FBC contracts whenever you pass by a control point. You can take on up to three at any given time and they will provide you with additional mods that you can break down for more Source. 

Finally, be sure to take on any side mission or Bureau Alerts as they appear. Completing these will also reward you with large chunks of Source that you can use and sometimes ability points too.
