My Hero’s One Justice

my hero one's justice

My Hero Academia has achieved new heights over the years, spawning three anime seasons, a movie, an upcoming live-action film, and now a video game adaptation. My Hero’s One Justice adapts the typical 3D fighting game style found in most anime games, such as Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm and Dragon Ball Xenoverse.

Players can pick from a pool of iconic characters from My Hero Academia that each have their own unique fighting styles. Of course, these characters each have their own unique quirks, such as Deku’s All For One and Uraraka’s zero gravity.

While it might not be as in-depth as other traditional fighting games, My Hero’s One Justice still offers some good fun with flashy moves and combo strings. Moreover, you can also customize your fighter’s appearance to make them look as outrageous as possible.

Anime fans who live My Hero Academia should definitely keep My Hero’s One Justice on their radar. Check out our full review for our thoughts on the game.

Mega Man 11

Following the trainwreck that was known as Mighty No. 9, Capcom finally decided to take matters into their own hands and develop the 11th game in the Mega Man series. Packed with tons of nostalgia value, some interesting new mechanics, and a charming 2.5D art style, Capcom proved that they still know their way around the Blue Bomber.

Mega Man 11 delves back into the series root, offering a challenging platforming adventure with plenty of action. Each stage is uniquely designed with that familiar Mega Man flair, and players have to take advantage of the Blue Bomber’s skills to avoid traps and defeat enemies.

While Mega Man has access to his trusty blaster, he can also take on the skills of any Robot Master bosses he’s beaten. This opens up an array of new skills and gives players the freedom to use Mega Man’s various mechanics as they see fit.

One new skill under his arsenal is the Double Gear system, giving Mega Man two additional abilities: the Speed Gear and Power Gear. The latter option lets him slow down time to make precise jumps or avoid incoming attacks with ease, while the Power Gear increases his attack power.

Both veterans and newcomers to the series will find something to love in Mega Man 11. If you’re still on the fence on this Steam game, make sure to check out our full review.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

assassin's creed odyssey, how to get all endings

Another year means another Assassin’s Creed game, with this one taking us over to ancient Greece. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey tells the tale of Alexios or Kassandra, a mercenary for fights for both factions in the Peloponnesian War between Athens and Sparta.

Apart from its completely new setting, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey also features more characters, branching quests, multiple endings, and a new romance system that lets players seduce certain NPCs.

Odyssey also follows up on Origin’s skill tree system, giving players more options to build their character. There are three skill trees that each focus on different abilities, with Hunter focusing on archery, Warrior drifting towards combat, and Assassin that emphasizes stealth.

Since the central story revolves around an ongoing war, Odyssey has added in a new War System that allows players to take contracts as mercenaries and partake in actual large-scale wars. Depending on the player’s choice, the War System can change a faction’s influence over a certain region.

If you’re an avid fan of the Assassin’s Creed series, there’s no reason why you should skip this Steam gem (especially since it’s the highest played entry on Steam). We also had a chance to try Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and loved it, evident by our full review.

Mark of the Ninja: Remastered

Mark of the Ninja was a fun side-scrolling game mixed in with stealth elements, making players really feel like a ninja as they roamed through the shadows of gorgeous locations. The original release dates back to 2012, and the developers went and rolled out a remastered version on Steam.

This version retains the same stealth elements fans know and love, while updating its gorgeous visuals with up to 4K resolution. Moreover, the developers have also enhanced all of the cinematics and audio, as well as added in more items, a new story level, and developer commentary in the mix.

All that said, Mark of the Ninja: Remastered on Steam is the best way to enjoy this classic game.

SoulCalibur VI

best steam games

It’s been six long years, but Bandai Namco has finally made SoulCalibur VI. The wait has definitely been worth it as they have stuffed the game with tons of new content, including two story modes and two new guest fighters.

Despite being the sixth game in the series, SoulCalibur VI is actually a soft reboot, overhauling the main story and timeline. However, fan-favorite characters such as Taki and Talim are still here, along with the main mechanics the franchise is known for. Players will be juggling between light and heavy attacks to perform flashy combos, which is pretty standard for most fighting games.

This Steam game mixes things up with the Critical Edge and the new Reversal Edge system, adding more tension with a showdown in which you’ll have to select the correct button prompts. Each character also has their own Lethal Edge attack that briefly slows down time and crushes the enemy.

Between its lengthy story modes and surprising depth, SoulCalibur VI will definitely scratch that fighting game itch. We praised the game for its overall presentation and best story content in our full review.
