Sometimes, as we explore DMZ, we will find ourselves without our insured weapon, and that can be a little frustrating. But worry not, as with Dead Drops, we can mitigate this problem with a little bit of cash. So with that in mind, where are all the DMZ Dead Drop locations?
All DMZ Dead Drop Locations
Dead Drops allow you to safely extract items and cash without heading to a public exfil and risking all the loot you have managed to collect. Keep in mind that the items put into the Dead Drop are not saved but instead converted to a cash value that will reduce your insured weapon cooldown.
Currently, there are six Dead Drop locations in Al Mazrah, four on Ashika Island, and four scattered around Vondel. We will detail where you can find each drop starting with Al Mazrah and noting their location on the Tac Map grid.
All Dead Drop Locations in Al Mazrah
Al Mazrah has six Dead Drops, but do note they are fairly condensed toward the center and lower-middle section of the map. The City, Airport, Rohan Oil, Sawah Village, and many other places all lack a drop for your cash and gear. Dead Drop locations sometimes change from season to season too, so be sure to check back regularly to ensure you don’t waste your time.
Sattiq Cave Complex (D3)
The Sattiq Cave Complex Dead Drop can be found nestled behind a tent and an ambulance. With a little skulking around you should find it fairly quickly.
Zarqwa Hydroelectric (E4)
The Zarqwa Hyrdoelectric Dead Drop is a very easy one to find. Simply head behind the small gas station and it’ll be sitting right there.
Northeast of Zaya Observatory (F5)
Zaya Observatory is a large area, but concentrating your efforts to the Northeast will make this endeavor a breeze. The Dead Drop is nestled between a trio of buildings. Head to where all three converge into an alleyway and you’ll find the dumpster you’re looking for.
Al Sharim Pass (G6)
Al Sharim Pass can be a tricky one to navigate as heavily armored bots are usually patrolling this area. Take due caution as you approach. The Dead Drop is behind the southernmost building at the very top of the mountain.
Ahkdar Village (F6)
Ahkdar Village is swarming with enemy AI and heavily armored foes ready to gun you and your teammates down. Take care as you approach the center bazaar, as that is where the Dead Drop is hiding.
Al Bagra Fortress (G8)
Our final Dead Drop for Al Mazrah sits on the East side of Al Bagra Fortress. The dumpsters are located on the back of the few houses lining the edge of the island.
All Dead Drop Locations in Ashika Island
Ashika Island has four quick and easy Dead Drop locations; three of which are on the surface, while the fourth is in the underground service tunnels. Unlike Al Mazrah, the dumpsters are evenly spread through the island, so you’ll always be a stone’s throw away from at least one.
Ashika Island Residences (G3)
Ashika Island Residences is a very simple Dead Drop to find. It is sat in the corner of the fenced property just a stone’s throw from the coastline.
Ashika Island Underground Docks (G5)
This is the hardest Dead Drop to reach on Ashika Island due to its position Underground. You can access the underground tunnels along the coastline or at the docks. The open canals and inlets are very easy to find, and once you do, all that is left is to follow the tunnels toward Tsuki Castle. Be warned though — there is heavy resistance in the tunnels with heavily armored foes.
Ashika Island Beach Club (E6)
The Beach Club Dead Drop is directly north of the Club and at the back of the gas station. It’s a very easy drop to find, as a spawn point for players entering Ashika is directly south of this dumpster.
Ashika Island Town Center
The Town Center drop is exactly as labeled on the tin. Cross the road from the gas station and you’ll find the dumpster behind the small building next to a workstation.
All Dead Drop Locations in Vondel
Finally, there are the Dead Drops in Vondel. These are fairly spread out, and are typically found along the edge of the map.
Vondel Zoo Dead Drop (D7)
On the east side of the zoo, you’ll find the cafeteria, and behind that building, you’ll find the dumpster. Entering the Zoo from either the East or South is recommended to avoid unnecessary conflict.
Vondel Fire Department (B5)
This Dead Drop is northeast of the Fire Department POI. It’s outside the final building in the complex and can be easily found beside some graffiti. Enemy contact is fairly low too, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble with enemy bots.
Vondel Museum (H6)
The Museum Dead Drop is not at ground level. Instead, it is in the underground carpark accessible from the main road to the East. Once inside, you’ll find it at the back corner against the wall.
Vondel University (G3)
The University Dead Drop is toward the east and behind a gas station. There is usually a highly armored squad that patrols the area, so be careful as you seek it out.
