The track “To The Edge” that plays during the final battle that brought the story of Shadowbringers to its conclusion stroke a chord with composer Alex Moukala (who openly mentions he dreams to score a Final Fantasy game someday), prompting him to remix it.

You can check the remix out, titled “Amaurot Funk” (To the Edge was already a remix of Amaurot’s theme) below.

The remix caught the attention of Final Fantasy XIV composer Masayoshi Soken (thanks for the tip: MatsuriDream), who decided to create his own remix… of the remix.

You can listen below, with a rather… special performer.

Speaking of Masayoshi Soken, we recently interviewed him, and he had a lot of interesting details to share.

Final Fantasy XIV is currently available for PlayStation 4 and PC. Incidentally, a few days we learned from Square Enix that monthly subscribers are continuing to grow.

Today we saw the release of update 5.3 and you can check out our report of the latest Letter from the Producer Live to learn what brings to the table.

If you’d like to learn more about the game in general, you can read our latest interview with Naoki Yoshida and our review of Shadowbringers.
