Following the new and extensive reveal of the Xbox Series X‘s specs and features, Microsoft released two trailers showing two relevant features of the next-gen console in action.Â
The first trailer showcses a compares loading times against the current top-of-the-line console, the Xbox One X.
The second video focuses on another speed-based feature, Quick Resume.
Here’s how Microsoft itself describes what we see.
Demo uses backward compatible Xbox title to demonstrate load time technology and does not represent gameplay optimized for Xbox Series X. Xbox Series X is the fastest, most powerful Xbox console ever.
Through Xbox Series X’s revolutionary Velocity Engine Architecture, gamers will experience more time playing and less time waiting as loading times will be greatly decreased and fast travel systems will be just that: fast.
And here’s what Microsoft has to say about Quick Resume.Â
“Demo uses backward compatible Xbox titles to demonstrate Quick Resume technology and does not represent gameplay optimized for Xbox Series X.
Quick Resume is a new feature powered by the technical capabilities and the innovative Xbox Velocity Architecture Engine in the Xbox Series X.
Quick Resume enables players to seamlessly switch between multiple titles from a suspended state almost instantly, returning you to where you were and what you were doing, without waiting through long loading screens.”
