CD Projekt RED president Adam KiciÅ„ski has provided some information about the developer’s plans according to a report by the Polish business website Stooq.
Speaking about Cyberpunk 2077, Kiciński reiterated that the game has been submitted to rating agencies, and results should come within a month, with the expectation of receiving the same rating as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
He also mentioned that the situation with the Coronavirus is so dynamic that it’s difficult to make predictions, but CD Projekt will take part in trade events if they are held. If they aren’t, the company will show the game in different ways. Since the internet still works, they’ll be able to reach players regardless.
We also learn that the studio has been working on another single-player game. A relatively clear concept has already been created, pending further development. While some work has already been done on it, at the moment CD Projekt is focusing on Cyberpunk 2077 and immediately after the game is released, production on the new one will begin.
Kiciński also mentioned that the studio has always wanted to create new games in the Witcher universe and nothing has changed. The company has access to two licenses, Cyberpunk and The Witcher, so all the games planned at the moment are from one of these two universes.
That being said, he did not directly confirm which franchise the single-player game mentioned above belongs to.
Kiciński did mention that the studio intends to prove that it can work on two big games at the same time, which will take quite a few years.
Incidentally, we also already know that CD Projekt intends to develop a multiplayer experience based on Cyberpunk 2077 after the release of the single-player game.
