Evolution stones have always been an incredibly sought after item in the Pokemon series. These magical stones grant the ability to evolve your Pokemon into their more powerful forms, making them even more formidable in battle. When it comes to evolution stones, things remain the same in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Evolution stones are still incredibly important for evolving certain Pokemon, but they’re not something you can just buy with your battle winnings.
Fortunately, there is a way to get all evolution stones easily, and that allows you to continuously farm them, as well.
Simply put, it involves heading to the Lake of Outrage and picking up glimmering items off the floor. We’ve broken down the steps in extensive detail (screenshots included!) down below.
Time needed: 1 hour
Farming All Evolution Stones in Pokemon Sword & Shield
- Use Fly Taxi to go to Hammerlocke Hills
- Hop on your Rotom Bike and go right until you reach a small lake
- Cross the Lake with Your Water Rotom Bike
Check our guide on how to get the water upgrade for your bike.
- Head Up the Hill Until You See These Rocks
- Behind each rock you’ll see a glimmer. Press A to pick them up.
There are eight rocks, and a glimmer behind each one. You’ll get eight random evolution stones out of the 10 in the game.
- Return roughly 24 hours later to get another eight random evolution stones.
