Evolving Minccino Into Cinccino in Pokemon Sword and Shield
As with past entries in the Pokemon series, Minccino evolves into Cincinno by using a Shiny Stone on it. Doing so will grant it a boost in its overall stats – namely its Attack and Speed – and won’t alter its pure normal typing.
However, as with many other Pokemon that evolve using a stone, it won’t learn the same suite of moves that it otherwise would if it were kept as a Minccino.
Of course, these are all moot points if you don’t know where to get a Shiny Stone. Fortunately, there are a couple of options available to you for nabbing one.
Where to Find a Shiny Stone in Pokemon Sword and Shield
There are two key methods for obtaining a Shiny Stone in Pokemon Sword and Shield.
The first is to grab one found on Route 8, to the Northeast of Hammerlocke. To reach it, head forward through the route until you come to an area to your right which you can advance through using ladders.
Go down the ladder to your right, and then proceed toward another ladder further to your right. Climb up that ladder, and then proceed to the right and down through some grass walled in by some ruins. Follow the path down and to the left, and you’ll come to a single Shiny Stone in the form of an item on the ground.
How to Farm Shiny Stones to Evolve Minccino in Pokemon Sword and Shield
The other method for getting a Shiny Stone in Pokemon Sword and Shield is to search for them near the eight stone structures past the Lake of Outrage.
After obtaining a bike and the Rotom upgrade which allows you to cross water with it, cross the Lake and make your way toward these eight stones. Once you reach them, look for item glimmers on the ground and then search until you find a Shiny Stone.
It’s also worth noting that, while infrequent, these item spawns do regenerate, allowing you to farm multiples of each evolutionary stone. As such, you can get as many Shiny Stones as you need by returning to this location after picking one up initially.
