First of all, we get a new trailer in English, which is an extended cut showing the background story of the game.

During a livestream from Tokyo Game Show 2019 in Chiba, Japan, we also saw the first gameplay trailer showcasing plenty of features, including minigames and the job system.

For instance, our hero Ichiban Kasuga can change job to host, bodiguard, and even dancer.

An image showcased during the livestream (which you can see under the videos alongside the new key art of the game) also shows jobs for a female character, like Construction Worker and White Collar.

We also saw plenty of gameplay, including the brand new turn-based JRPG battle system, which looks great. It’s in the third clip below.

If you’d like to see more about the game, you can check out the original reveal and the first trailer with English subtitles.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon will launch in Japan on January 16, 2020, exclusively for PS4. It’ll also come west later next year.
