According to the firm’s estimates, the PS4 version’s 116,202 copies sold during the game’s debut week were 75.75% of the initial shipment.

Making a comparison with the past, we hear that this is just over half the 205,000 copies sold on its first week by the PS3 version of Devil May Cry 4 in 2008. That being said, sales were significantly higher than Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition in 2015, which sold only 36,000 copies on its first week on the shelves.

While Media Create does not mention it in its analysis, the game also sold slightly better than DmC Devil May Cry by Ninja Theory, which debuted in Japan with 110,429 copies sold in 2013.

Incidentally, Capcom’s Peter Fabiano recently denied speculation about possible low sales for the title.
