The newest edition of Inside the Vault is short and to the point.
Bethesda has announced that Fallout 76 players can expect a large update “later this month”, and that full patch notes will follow. This new update is also promised to be as game-changing as the one on December 11, which brought SPECIAL re-speccing, push-to-talk capability, and widescreen resolution support. No exact date has been pinned down for the release of this new patch.
Also mentioned in this latest look Inside the Vault are some of the features that will be added to the game soon. Bethesda tells us that some of the future Fallout 76 updates will include “new quests, weekly in-game events, new Vaults opening, a new PvP mode, Player Vending and much more.”
Player vending is an exciting new prospect, however many in the community fear that it will promote even more exploitation of an item duplication glitch. Perhaps we will see a fix for this exploit along with the next patch.
Which new features will be implemented when is unclear. However, in a previous blog post on December 19, Fallout 76 players were notified that in “mid-January” they can expect “another patch that contains many fixes.”
This patch was promised to include “fixes for the Lever-Action Rifle reload animation, some perk cards,” and support with “crowd control at the Whitespring by implementing a fix for the robots duplicating on the resort grounds.” These could be some of the big changes coming to the game in the next patch.
Regardless of what is changed when, the patch notes that follow each new update will now also contain some thoughts from the developers themselves.
This will be done in order to provide the Fallout 76 community more insight into the reasoning behind each change to the game. While waiting for the next update, Bethesda encourages Fallout 76 players to continue to provide feedback on the official forum.
Fallout 76 is now available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
