Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Gamma 1

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC Also Adds Playable Gamma 1 From Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero

Gamma 1 from Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will join Gamma 2 in the new DLC for the immortal Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2-

Today Bandai Namco announced that the upcoming DLC for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will include Gamma 1 as a playable character.

This was pretty much inevitable as the DLC titled “Hero of Justice Pack 1” focuses on characters from the new movie Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero and also includes Gamma 2.

We still don’t have a release date for the DLC besides a generic “this fall” but as the name suggests, it won’t be the last, another DLC is coming down the line.

You can watch Gamma 1 in action below.

If you think the release of new DLC is quite bonkers since the game was released in October 2016, I certainly won’t blame you, but Dragon Ball has been around for a long time, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Bandai Namco is basing the apparently immortal DLC support to Xenoverse 2 on the longevity of the anime.

It isn’t all that surprising that new DLCs are continuing to chug along of you think that the game has sold over 8 million copies.

That being said, I can’t help but giggle at the fact that the official Steam description of the game still quotes “post launch support for one year.” That’s one really long year, Bandai Namco.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is currently available for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. If you want to read more about the game, you can check out our review.
