When you first start up the game, you’ll be prompted to confirm your Splatfest region. The game will automatically connect to the internet and determine which region is best suited for you and ask you to confirm your selection.

If you want to change it, though, you can do so after finishing the tutorial. Play through the short tutorial section and participate in your first Turf War battle, and the terminal in the multiplayer lobby will become available to you.

Interact with the terminal by pressing the A button, then choose the Splatfest Region option. From here, choose the region that you want to be set to, and you’re good to go. Do note that there is a short cooldown period after changing your region, and you won’t be able to adjust it again until after the next Splatfest.

Setting your region correctly is important as it’ll determine which players you match up with. There are a total of four available regions, as listed below:

  • Japan
  • The Americas/Australia/New Zealand
  • Europe
  • Hong Kong/S. Korea

That’s all you need to know about how to change your Splatfest region in Splatoon 3. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game, including how long the story mode is, and how to save your game.
