Splatoon 3 is finally here, and with it, a new light-hearted romp through the world of Squid Kids. If you’re the type that aims to do everything they can in a given gameplay mode, you can expect a playthrough of at least eight or more hours. This is because the story mode has a variety of bells and whistles in addition to the main storyline, including optional Kettle challenges, hidden collectibles to find, and much more.
On the other hand, you could beat the game in as little as four or five hours if you railroad your way through the story. Bare in mind, though, that this will bar you from experiencing all of the story mode’s content, to the point that you may even miss out on playing through entire islands’ worth of material.
As for those that fall in between these two camps, you can expect a playthrough length right around six or seven hours.
