Battling to save the world from doom is always a worthy endeavor, and that is exactly the objective facing you and your party in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. In a futuristic society torn apart by war, it will be up to heroes like you to take down the biggest of threats, and if you can do so while getting rewarded, all the better. Learning how to perform an Overkill in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will ensure that you are always walking away with something more.
Performing Overkills in Xenoblade Chronicles 3
There are all kinds of enemies in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, but they all have to fall sometime. By utilizing your Chain Attack and dealing more damage than the health that the enemy has left, this will cause an Overkill.
That extra damage will be turned into a variety of bonuses at the end of the battle, so it makes sense to take advantage of this mechanic as much as possible. Our recommendation is to use a Chain Attack as late as you can into the battle in order to extract the most bonuses possible.
Even if the enemy can be easily defeated using normal means, it is always worth it to activate a Chain Attack for an Overkill and the associated bonuses. If you wish to remove this mechanic from your gameplay experience, head into the Pause menu, and turn it off under the Systems > Options > Game tab.
Armed with the knowledge of how to perform an Overkill in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, it will make your time in the game much more rewarding.
