How to Get to the Tower of Sisyphus in Returnal

After downloading the update, the game will start off with a short cutscene, as usual. Then, another will play that you haven’t seen before. Selene will mention that a new tower has appeared in the distance.

The Tower of Sisyphus can actually be accessed right from the crash site where every new run begins. There will now be a second door in addition to the main one that starts normal runs through the alien planet.

Go through the second door and you’ll be on the right path. Use the red teleportation orb to get transported to the tower. Be aware that this is a one-way teleport.

What Is the Tower of Sisyphus?

The tower is, essentially, an endless dungeon. There is no real end, and the main goal is to get high scores to beat friends and others around the world by climbing as high as you can. The higher you go, the tougher the enemies will become.

There’s a score multiplier that increases as you progress. It’ll deplete whenever Selene takes damage, or whenever you take too long to deal damage. So, this is a challenge that requires constant action and precision, while also providing some new narrative and story content.

That’s everything you need to know about how to start the tower of Sisyphus in Returnal. Be sure to check out our guide wiki for more tips, tricks, and other useful info on the game as you explore Atropos.
