Today Japanese website 4Gamer published an extensive article in which local developers shared their plans for 2022.

Hashino-san himself was among them, and he mentioned that while various games of existing series have been recently released by the company, 2022 marks the beginning of a period in which they’ll be able to develop completely new games. On top of that, he admitted that the development of Project Re Fantasy has been affected by some twists and turns, but it’s finally reaching its climax.

We also hear from Shin Megami Tensei V producer Shinjiro Takada, who mentioned that his aspiration for 2022 is to create a game that will serve as a pillar for Atlus.

Project Re Fantasy has been announced all the way back in 2016, but for now, we have seen only a few pieces of artwork by acclaimed character designer Shigenori Soejima and some concept videos.

We also know that the music is composed by Shoji Meguro, who in the meanwhile has left Atlus, but will still work for the developer as a freelancer

It’ll be interesting to see if 2022 will finally bring a reveal, but for now, we’ll have to wait and see.

Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. He is also one of the few surviving fans on Earth of the flight simulator genre.
