This morning, we got another new trailer for the upcoming Pokemon Legends: Arceus that introduces us to some more of the locals we’ll meet throughout the game. Specifically, the trailer features the Diamond and Pearl Clans and other groups in the region.
Both the Diamond Clan and the Pearl Clan wear clothes that resemble certain Pokemon, and the clans serve and pay respects to the Noble Pokemon of the region, which their members call lords and ladies.
The trailer introduces us to a few key members of these clans, such as Arezu and Lian, who serve two different Noble Pokemon.
We meet Adaman, leader of the Diamond Clan, whose Pokemon partner is Leafeon. Adaman “hates seeing time go to waste and likes to rush forward without worrying too much about particulars.”
We also Meet Irida, leader of the Pearl Clan, whose Pokemon partner is Glaceon. Irida “feels it is important to have the courage to face the vast Hisui region without quailing before it.”
The trailer also goes a bit into the concept of the Ginkgo Guild, a group of merchants who you will meet during your travels in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Merchants such as Ginter and Volo will be able to sell you rare and important items.
Finally, today we learned about some of the Mythical Pokemon who you can obtain in the game.
If you have save data from Pokemon Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl, you’ll be able to take on a research request to add Darkrai to your team. If you have save data from Pokemon Sword or Shield, you’ll be able to take on a research request to add Shaymin (Land Forme) to your team. These research requests will be available to accept in Jubilife Village after viewing the game’s end credits.
Having save data from these games will also unlock special in-game outfits that can be redeemed about an hour into the game when you join the Galaxy Expedition Team.
You can watch the trailer that introduces the Diamond and Pearl Clans and Ginkgo Guild merchants below. You can also learn more on the game’s official website right here.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus will release for the Nintendo Switch on Jan. 28, 2022.
