Today Nexon released another trailer and news about the upcoming fighting game DNF Duel, inspired by the Dungeon Fighter franchise (also known as Dungeon & Fighter in Korea).

The trailer reveals another character, the Hitman, and we also get news about a beta test for PS5 and PS4 between Dec. 17 and Dec. 20.

On top of that, we get a tease of four more characters, even if we see only silhouettes.

If the visuals and gameplay give you an Arc System Works vibe, you shouldn’t be surprised considering that Nexon hired the popular Japanese fighting game developer to create the game. The previous trailer featuring the Berserker the one showing the Inquisitorthe one showcasing the Grappler, the trailer focusing on the Striker, and the one on the Ranger will confirm that feeling.

You can check it out and see what I mean for yourself below, alongside the timing of the beta.

Dungeon Fighter Online is quite popular worldwide (admittedly a lot more in Asia than in the west) and the game has social media accounts in English, so we might certainly expect a western release.

Dungeon Fighter Online is one of the most played games in the world if you look at actual revenue, so it was pretty much a matter of time for it to expand to other genres and markets.

At the moment, no platforms or release windows have been announced for DNF Duel, so we’ll have to wait for further information on that front.

In the meanwhile, you can watch a previous gameplay trailer from a few days ago and another from last year, and see how the game evolved.
