Luckily for you, we’ve managed to decipher the answer to this puzzle. Read on to find out which monsters drop this valued item, what you need to do to get it, and what you can make with it once it’s in your grasp.

How to Get High Quality Pelt in Monster Hunter Rise

To get a High Quality Pelt drop in Monster Hunter Rise, you’ll first need to be to the point where you’re able to tackle the game’s High Rank missions and content.

This is done by progressing through the game and obtaining good enough gear to be able to take on the monsters found in these missions. As such, all you need to do to take on High Rank missions is progress the story and get better at the game.

Once you’ve done this, you can start farming High Quality Pelts by hunting the herbivores found in High Rank quests focused on the Shrine Ruins and Frost Islands areas. Specifically, you’ll want to hunt down the deer monster Kelbi in the Shrine Ruins and the reindeer-ish Anteka in the Frost Islands.

For the Kelbi, your best bet is to go to the 11 and 13 areas of the Shrine Ruins map. They’ll be fairly plentiful there, and should go down easy so long as you’re properly equipped. You’ll have a 45 percent chance of getting a High Quality Pelt from them too, so the chances of your farming yielding results is high.

Anteka, meanwhile, can be found in the 1 and 6 areas of the Frost Islands map. Like Kelbi, they should go down easily so long as you have decent gear equipped. However, their chances of dropping a High Quality Pelt are only 18 percent.

These are the only two monsters that drop this resource, so whether you like it or not, you’ll need to kill a fair few of them to get a stockpile of Pelts going.

What High Quality Pelts Are Used for

As for what you can do with High Quality Pelts in Monster Hunter Rise, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.

The crafting item can be used to – you guessed it – craft better gear and equipment. It’s highly recommended you craft the gear that requires these Pelts, as it’ll help you to progress toward the main story’s conclusion and complete some of the trickier late game side quests.
